The
painting themes and techniques applied to my work often vary. It is a
never ending quest to solve the next pictorial challenge, whether it happens
on canvas, wall or car.
Preferring the Mural format for its grandiose scale and subsequent advantages whenever dealing with detail, I also paint in smaller scales, from my own inspiration or to complete commissioned work. More often than not, canvas is the preferred medium but wood, metal, drywall and other surfaces do come across.
Formally trained in Oils and Acrylic paints, the work in the Retail and Hospitality industry inspired and taught me to use a wide range of media and mix them.
Like an early alchemist, instinct takes over when faced by the unknown and great surprises become new techniques.
Currently, a new series of work is emerging, influenced by the surroundings of my studio, the neighborhood, urban and street style artwork, and new techniques of illustration.
